As a first-generation student, I hadn't heard of a CV or its importance as I moved forward within the academy until I neared graduation. The items detailed below were not strategic, they were genuine actions and accomplishments undertaken to advance my experience and knowledge in pursuit of helping underserved and marginalized students. As a solo-parent of two (now) teenage sons on the Autism spectrum, my interests were often driven by a deep desire to effectively advocate for them in educational spaces. As a survivor, I loathe excuses; as a rhetorician, I understand the power of perspective. This is an offer of perspective.
